I received you package today and I wanted to say thank you. I think it was two boxes and they went to good use.

Yes I am from IL and a majority of us on the team are IL National Guard. One is from Michigan NG and one from Hawaii NG. I don’t have a pic of us with your package but I’ve attached a few of us doing what we do.

  First off let me introduce myself. My name is Lieutenant William Leady. I and nearly two dozen other Soldiers are currently serving in Ghazni, Afghanistan for the Illinois Army National Guard. Today we received both the letter and gifts from the Brownies and yourself. We would like to thank you for both your generosity and support. The cards were incredibly cute and will serve as a reminder who and what we are fighting for. Please thank the little ladies for us!

Though Colonel Gene Links was the Soldier selected on AnySoldier.com, I have asked him for the opportunity to express our gratitude and give you an idea of the Soldiers you have touched. The group of us serving here are stationed with primarily Polish Coalition forces. Our small team was hand-selected from units all across Illinois. Several of us represent the Greater Chicago Metropolitan area but there are a few from small Illinois towns that range from the Quad Cities area to Southern Illinois. We truly represent a random sample of the spirit of Illinois.

Once again I would like to thank you and assure you that your support was received with smiles and greatly appreciated!
